Located a 5-minute walk from either Namba or Shinsaibashi Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line, Mercure Tokyu Stay Osaka Namba is situated very close to the main streets Midosuji Boulevard and Dotonbori which are among the most popular spots in Osaka.
Located in a sophisticated, luxurious urban space, the lobby is filled with greenery and sunlight.
The interior design of the guestrooms is calming, simple, and smart with impressive cutting-edge furniture that invokes a sense of fun.
The Grab & Go is a space where anyone can drop by freely to socialize with others. At the Hotel, even well-travelled guests will feel uplifted and enjoy a new stay experience.
Welcoming you, the hotel lobby is centred around an objet d’art check-in table, with an adjacent terrace, bar, and Grab & Go (SHOP M).The Hotel’s signature “Green Pod Wall” is a dynamic wall that continues up to the atrium space. Its overwhelming scale uplifts the visiting travellers’ spirits.Combined with the facing lush green terrace lounge, the entire lobby has a comfortable ambience like a courtyard full of light and greenery.Since the green pods all have built-in LEDs, at night the entire space is illuminated and transforms into an attractive space like a gigantic bar.A grand staircase beside the lift lobby leads to a coworking lounge on the mezzanine floor and a play lounge and a fitness gym on the second level, creating a social hub space where “work” and “play” coexist seamlessly.
By adding Mercure’s sophisticated design to the well-known high during-stay functionality of Tokyu Stay, we offer a highly satisfying stay experience. This double branding provides a safe and comfortable stay for both domestic and international guests and supports a variety of accommodation styles.
The Nishi-Shinsaibashi district (formerly Sumiya-cho) where this hotel is located was called “Sumiya-cho”, a town of charcoal dealers, because charcoal was collected through the Dotonbori Canal from Osaka Bay.Our hotel’s façade and interior designs were inspired by “charcoal” which was also the origin of the region’s name.As history progressed into the 1970s, local creators transformed the quiet warehouse district into cafes, boutiques, live houses, art studios (ateliers), etc. Today, it has evolved into the most vibrant street culture district in the Osaka Minami area, leading the youth culture of the Kansai region. Now it is widely known domestically and internationally to the extent that the word “Shinbura”, enjoying a leisurely walk around Shinsaibashi, was coined.
Mercure Tokyu Stay Osaka Namba provides a place of interaction rooted in the local community as an “atelier hub space” by embedding its in-house interior design with such creative ideas as can be found in the fashion, music, and arts that have established the unique culture. Thus, the Hotel aims to become a new “source of youth culture” where trend-conscious staying guests meet with the local creators and exchange a variety of information.
During your stay, please enjoy various works of art inspired by Osaka Minami which can be seen throughout the Hotel.
